Beat the Nash, Win the Nash

Posted: January 9, 2008 in Tigers

Just a couple of days after the Hornets came up with a thrilling win over Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns, the LSU fighting Tigers roll past the Buckeyes or (The Weedeyes), take your pick to become the BCS National Champions and to take top spot in the AP Poll for good…… which basically means 8 months.

It looked like LSU was working off the rust in the first 5 minutes. WHAT, I’M ACTUALLY BEING NICE ABOUT IT?!?!?!?!? Well yes; they proceeded by scoring 31 unanswered points.

Once LSU got their heads in the game, it was lights out, especially seeing that they were healthy.

Here’s the final AP Poll:
1. LSU
2. Georgia
3. USC
4. Missouri
5. Ohio State
6. West Virginia
7. Kansas
8. Oklahoma
9. Virginia Tech
10. Texas
11. Boston College
12. Tennessee
13. Florida
14. BYU
15. Auburn
16. Arizona State
17. Cincinnati
18. Michigan
19. Hawaii
20. Illinois
21. Clemson
22. Texas Tech
23. Oregon
24. Wisconsin
25. Oregon State

Again, we’re left to wonder about USC, those “Hollywood” idiots. They lost to Stanford, STANFORD!!!!!!!!, and they still ended up #3 and even had the audacity to be in the National Championship conversation with Georgia before the game was played.

THEY LOST TO STANFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s an elimination game.

This college football season is in the books, but there’s one more thing to say.
The last and most enthusiastic way I’ll say it:
