Voodoo Rout Defending Champion Sabercats
Posted by Jake on April 6, 2008
Behind their new starting quarterback Danny Wimprine, the Voodoo used their trademark defense and stuffed the San Jose Sabercats in the arena on Saturday 72-43. Wimprine now has 29 TD’s and 2 INT’s, both of those coming in last week’s game. The win takes the Voodoo to 5-1 on the season as they go to Dallas next week to take on the 6-0 Dallas Desperados. If the Voodoo can hand Dallas their first loss of the season, it will not only tie them with Dallas, who currently shares the conference lead with 6-0 Philadelphia, but will also establish them as the best team in the conference. Kick-off is at 6:00 pm cst. on April 12.
