Second Half Domination

Posted by Jake on September 29, 2007

Give Tulane credit for falsely hangin in that football game in the first half…………………
……………………………………….
then again let’s not.
That kind of stuff happens all the time in college football and no surprise to see it happen here.

The Tiger opened up struggling against an unexpectedly fired up Tulane team with the false sense of a winning attitude that carried them to a 10-9 deficit in the Superdome on Saturday. But LSU was buying none of it as the 2nd half arrived, limiting Tulane’s offense, taking back the stats and the score with 24 unanswered points.

Final Score: LSU-34 Tulane-9.

Tulane post-game analysis-”We got our ass kicked in that second game… second half rather we got our asses totally kicked. We couldn’t do diddley poo offensively, we couldn’t make a first down, we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t try to run the ball, couldn’t complete a pass, we sucked, second half we sucked. Everytime they got the ball, they went down and got points, we got our ass kicked in the second half. It was a horse sh** performance in the second half, horse sh** performance. Coaches did a horrible job, players did a horrible job, we got our ass kicked in the second half, it sucked, it stunk.”

–Jim Mora, Coach
New Orleans Saints

PS: Nobody wins (first choice, 30-35 points)

Tulane @ LSU

Posted by Jake on September 29, 2007

I sure wouldn’t want to be a Tulane player in the Dome come Saturday when the national powerhouse Bayou Bengals come stormin’ in.

Should be a nice and easy blowout……… on the other side for once, although I am informed people in New Orleans always rooted for Tulane…….figures.

The spread: Duh!!!!!!………by 40 points.

Thats it people? We can do better than that.

Pregame Notes:

  • LSU played Tulane 10 times in the Dome with the only Tulane victories coming in 1979 (24-13) and in 1981 (48-7).
  • LSU has a 3-2 Sugar Bowl record in the Dome.
  • Interested in catching the game? It’s on ESPN2 at 11am

Chef will be attending this game in Section 640, right next door to the sacred cafe’, and I think I heard he was going to sleep through it.
